Contractor software runs from about $10 a month for a single-user invoicing app to several hundred a month once a real crew is on it, and two of the biggest names will not tell you the price until you sit through a sales call. Below is every number the vendors publish, with the date we checked each one.
Two warnings before the table. First, most of these prices are per seat, so the advertised number describes a company of one and grows with every hire. Second, the subscription is rarely the whole bill: add-ons for proposals, review automation, and tracking stack on top.
Prices below are the vendors' published numbers with the date we checked them. Where a vendor gates pricing behind a sales call, the table says so instead of guessing.
| Platform | Published price | How it scales | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Joist | $10 to $32 a month | Single account. Estimating and invoicing only. | joist.com, accessed July 2026 |
| Jobber | Core $29 to $49 a month, 1 user | About $229 to $299 at 5 users on Grow, $399 to $699 at 15, plus $29 per extra seat | getjobber.com/pricing, accessed July 2026 |
| Contractor Foreman | $49 to $332 a month | Five user-count tiers, billed annually: Basic $49 (1 user) to Unlimited $332 | contractorforeman.com, accessed September 2026 |
| Housecall Pro | Basic $79 a month, 1 user | Essentials $189 (5 users), Max $329 (8 users), then $35 per extra seat. About $574 at 15 people. | housecallpro.com/pricing, accessed July 2026 |
| JobTread | $199 a month base, 1 internal user | $20 per seat for users 2 to 10, $15 for 11 to 20. About $279 at 5 people, $454 at 15. | jobtread.com/pricing, accessed July 2026 |
| Buildertrend | Gated | Pricing sits behind an intake form and a sales call. Third-party estimates conflict too widely to repeat. | buildertrend.com/pricing, accessed July 2026 |
| ServiceTitan | Gated | Quote-only pricing after a sales process. No published number exists. | servicetitan.com, accessed July 2026 |
| Evalation | $297 a month, flat | No per-user fees at any team size. First 50 founding members locked for life, next 500 at $416. | evalationops.com/pricing |
Most contractor software is priced per seat, so the number on the pricing page describes a company of one. Run the same math at a real crew size and the ranking reshuffles. At five people, Jobber's Grow plan lands around $229 to $299 a month and JobTread lands around $279. At fifteen, Jobber runs $399 to $699, JobTread about $454, and Housecall Pro about $574. The pattern is the point: per-seat pricing taxes the exact thing you are trying to do, which is grow a crew.
Then there are the add-ons. Review automation, proposal tools, GPS tracking, and price books are frequently separate line items on top of the base plan, reported around $20 to $149 a month each depending on the platform. The subscription you compare is rarely the bill you pay.
And the bill is still only half the cost. Stack a field tool on a spreadsheet estimator on QuickBooks on a marketing app and a typical mid-size contractor spends $400 to $2,500 a month across tools that do not talk to each other, plus his own nights as the glue between them. That math is why the category Evalation belongs to exists at all: one system instead of the stack. The definition lives at /what-is-corr.
When a platform will not publish a number, you are not just buying software, you are entering a negotiation where the other side has done this ten thousand times and you have done it once. The quote arrives calibrated to your company size, and the implementation fee arrives after you are emotionally committed.
There are honest reasons enterprise pricing varies. But a contractor comparing a $297 flat rate against "talk to sales" deserves to know that one of those numbers can be checked from a kitchen table at 9pm and the other cannot.
Their pricing varies by company size, module mix, and negotiation, so they route every buyer through a sales process. That is a legitimate enterprise model. It also means no number we printed would survive contact with your actual quote, so the table above calls them gated instead of guessing.
For a solo operator who needs estimates and invoices and nothing else, Joist at $10 to $32 a month is the honest answer. The cheap tier stops being cheap the day you hire, because per-seat pricing scales with your crew while flat pricing does not.
No. Card processing is a separate cost on every platform, typically quoted as a percentage per transaction. Evalation runs payments on Stripe, with card processing from 3.1% and bank transfer (ACH) for less, with no monthly payment fees.
Evalation is built for residential contractors doing $700K to $3.5M a year who have outgrown entry-level tools but refuse enterprise pricing and enterprise implementation.
Evalation costs $297 per month for the first 50 founding members, locked for life, with no per-user fees. Every membership starts with a free 14-day trial, and the full structure, including the honest exclusions, is published at /pricing.
